DAY FIVE- LAND TOUR-Anchorage

We stayed at the Downtown Anchorage Marriott.  Room was a little Stuffy. great view from 10th floor.
Drizzle rain all day.

Went on the city Trolley tour.  great way to see the city. $20 each.

This is where old airplanes go.

Ground fell 15-20 feet during Earthquake of 1964. 

Lunch at sports bar. Good food.

After the trolley, we went to the Federal Building across the street to watch free movies.
We watched the Alaska Railroad and the Earthquake of March 1964 (Good Friday)
Nice place to spend time at no cost.

DAY FOUR-LAND TOUR



Boarded the -Alaskan Railroad-CWilderness Express at 12:00 noon

Arrive in Anchorage at 8:00 pm

DAY THREE - LAND TOUR

We leave Talkeetna early morning. arrive in Denali at 11:30 am.











Tundra Wilderness Tour- 52 miles into Denali National Park

Bathroom (outhouse) no running water.

Dall Sheep with babies.


Stopped to look at the view.

Spikes keep the bears from eating the sign.

Drove on the edge of big cliffs. Scarey.

Check in late 9:00 pm to McKinley Village lodge.
The restaurant stayed open late.  Great meal.  We ate at a big table with a group from New Orleans.

Rooms were comfortable, no fridge and no safe. Bathroom had a shower -no tub.  
Great view of river and Mountains.
