DAY TWO-LAND TOUR

We didn't leave Alyeska Hotel until 11:00 am.

We drove about an hour to Anchorage 4th Avenue Market Place. I consider it a flea market.  There were food venders and people selling some cool stuff.  We left at 2:00 pm I thought this stop was a waste of time. We could have left earlier from hotel so that we could do more in Talkeetna.  I never did find Mayor Stubbs.

Talkeetna is a Quirky little town. Everyone seems to have a dog.

We arrive in Talkeetna at 5:00 pm Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

We had a 5:30 time with K2 for Flightseeing over Mt. McKinley with Glacier landing.

It was pricey ,but I don't think we will be back any time soon.  We were the only ones who got to see Mt. McKinley.

Someone built a private outhouse on top of the mountain.

They dropped us off in town.

Nagleys- Where Mayor Stubs lives.  Bought a $6.99 bag of chips.

Dinner at the brew house.  Heavy meal, we both had heart burn afterwards.

If you buy something, they offer a free taxi back to the hotel. Joe the taxi driver is the only taxi in town.
